What is required for a learner’s license booking at the traffic department?
- You need to be over the age of 17 years to qualify to write your test at the traffic department.
Also have your eyes tested before making a test appointment at the traffic department and should you wear spectacles, be sure to bring them along.
Can I do my driver's licence test in a car if I have a code 10 learner’s license?
Yes, you absolutely can! With a code 10 learner’s licence you can choose to do your test either in a car or truck.
Can you make a test booking on my behalf?
By law applicants have to present themselves in person at a testing station to make a test date appointment.
We simply offer a transportation service to a testing station, wait with them and take them back home afterwards.
How many lessons will I need to pass my test?
The number of lessons required to pass the test is very different for everyone. This will depend on your previous driving experience, how often you practise, how fast you are able to learn a new skill and your level of confidence when driving.
If you have a code 08 driver’s license can you drive big cars?
Yes, you can! With a code 08 driver’s license you can drive any car as well as small trucks. The only thing you cannot drive are the big trucks.
What must I take along when booking for a learner’s license?
- South African green bar-coded ID Book / South African Passport
- Two ID photos
- Booking Fee (payable to the authorities to reserve a test date)
Spectacles (if applicable) for the eye test
Should I do my driver’s license when I want to buy a car?
Absolutely not! You should do your driving lessons as soon as you reach the eligibility age to drive. This will make you save on insurance premiums when you buying a car.
Which traffic department do you recommend for passing out?
Our students pass on every traffic department; we have gained our respect in most traffic departments in cape town through our training techniques. but we do recommend the ne that is closer to our training grounds (Gallows hill traffic department).
